Meet The Team | Rachael
One of our longest standing team members and the go-to person for all things logistics, distribution, hiking and camping, Rachael has got us covered.
Rachael has been holding down the fort for the past 4 and a half years and started here when there were just 3 people in the office team... There's now 14 of us.
On the day to day Rachael works to ensure there are enough cans/boxes/pallets/labels etc on site for production. She manages the projects all the way from the art-working stage through to the daily deliveries of supplies on site. She also oversees stock distribution of finished product into the various channels and feedback to the production team to what format the beer need packaging into.
As usual.. and after any excuse for a beer, Rach and I headed to the pub for a chat about how she got started at Vocation.
"I started my working career after dropping out of uni at 19 working in e-commerce for 7 years before moving onto a role in a Warehousing & Logistics company and then onto an export role. After first seeing Vocation in Supermarkets and local pubs, I saw the job come up at Vocation and having loved craft beer for a number of years I jumped at the chance, I haven’t looked back!
On my time off or over the weekend I can mostly be found out and about on walks, my favourite pub is The Old Dungeon Ghyll in Great Langdale, Lake District. Any weekend with a big walk and a beer is ideal.
I also have a new found love of cycling, and can often be found propping up the bar in our Hebden Bridge taproom...Nothing beats a proper pint of cask Bread & Butter after a long walk. And nothing beats a pint of Veltins & a shot of Tequila with Verdita chaser in North Bar."
