2022 - Thank you!

As 2022 comes to an end, it’s a good time to look back over our seventh year and look forward to 2023.
It’s been a tough year for many people, and also for a lot of breweries. It’s been a challenge for us too, but thanks to our incredible team and our amazing customers we’re proud to have continued to grow even in these tough times.
We’ve worked shoulder to shoulder to support each other and just look at the results... 91 special releases, a growing Barrel Aged programme, a new taproom, booming webshop sales, exporting to 44 countries, 72 events and over 12 million pints brewed.

There’s a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes to make this innovation and creativity happen, and we couldn’t do any of this without our incredible team.  There’s over 70 of us now in the brewery - and to everyone we want to say a thank you for your continued dedication and hard work.
We’re particularly pleased that we have been able to brew more cask and keg this year than ever before.  It’s a side to the brewery that’s perhaps had less focus in the past, as we became famous for our canned beers. Next year we’re going to keep pushing forward with cask and keg, and are especially proud to be continuing to innovate and drive sales of cask beer. The first beers we ever brewed were in cask, and a passion for cask beer is what got many of us into brewing in the first place.
Speaking of cask and keg, we’ve just opened another Vocation & Co taproom. It joins a great beer scene in Halifax sitting alongside some of our favourite haunts. The taproom has excellent beer (as you’d expect!), delicious NY style pizza, and an upstairs cocktail bar. Our taproom teams bring the Vocation ethos to life, bringing you new beers and fantastic events. Hats off to the teams in all our bars for a great year in some tricky circumstances.
The ever-expanding export market has made the demand for keg jump to new heights, seeing us sending our beer as far as Canada, Mexico and Japan. It will never stop being exciting seeing photos of our cans and beers on sale on the other side of the world!
What has made the past few years even more fulfilling is the continued support we have from you, our customer. Without you buying our cans, sipping our pints and coming to say “hello” to us at our events and taprooms we wouldn’t be able to continue doing what we love.
We have big ideas for 2023 and already have plans underway for brewery expansions, new facilities and new taprooms. Keep your eyes peeled for exciting beers coming your way from January, having tried them fresh from tank you’ve got a lot to look forward to.
Once again, thank you for the seven years of support. Cheers!
