With the current rapid and exponential spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus), we want to keep you informed as to how we are responding.

This virus presents a significant challenge to the world.  We at Vocation are taking steps to make sure that we are behaving in a socially responsible way and are doing everything we can to safeguard our colleagues, customers and the wider community.  We also need to safeguard our business, and therefore jobs, through what are likely to be extremely challenging times.

We are taking the following actions:

  • Where possible, our office staff will continue to work from home. This clearly isn’t practical for all staff, but by minimising staff in the office we know we can significantly reduce the risk of transmission. We are changing shift patterns in the brewery to spread out the number of staff present at any one time.

  • All staff meetings will be conducted via telephone/email. There will be no visitors to office or brewery sites unless absolutely necessary.

  • We are increasing our - already stringent - hygiene and cleaning regimes in the brewery and offices and.

  • We will follow all relevant government advice and will communicate this to our staff and customers.

  • In what are going to be challenging times for our business and staff, the board have unanimously agreed to suspend all directors/owners pay until further notice. We may need to ask a lot of our staff over the coming months, so we think it’s only fair to do our bit.

  • We know that many people self-isolating or practising social-distancing measures may still want to be able to enjoy a drink. So we’ll be launching a number of promotions in our online shop to make this as economical as we can. If you feel you want to support us a business but can’t visit pubs, bars or shops, then shopping online with us is a great way to do so.

Any further updates will be posted here.
